Nelda Brown Cook

Although I listed retired, I have never worked harder since I officially retired. We live on a ranch in SE Oklahoma, raise cattle, and I work part time for the US Postal Service in a small nearby community. We live 7 miles from the nearest paved road, nearest neighbor is a mile away, and we live on the end of a dead end road. We also raise pecans in our 80 acre pecan grove.
My husband of 15 years, is also retired to the daily grind ( we love it!) of taking care of the cattle, spraying the pecan orchard and in his spare time, runs a taxi service for the many Amish families who live in our community.

I married Lloyd Stoneking of Kadane Corner, Tx and together we had 2 children. Lloyd was a firefighter when I married him. We relocated to Oklahoma City in the late '60's and he went to his Heavenly reward at the young age of 43. He was a Captain on the OKC Fire Department, where our oldest child, Kevin is now a Major. After 14 years of being a widow, I remarried to a former employee of my trucking company. He had a brain anuserym shortly after our 2nd anniversary but is doing great now.
