After graduation I attended Midwestern for two years. During the sixties I got married and had my two beautiful daughters. They were and still are the joy of my life. During the seventies I got married and lived in Connecticut for two years and the Phillippines for two years during which time I visited Hong Kong. During the eighties, you're not going to believe this, I got married again. I met Bill in January 1983 at Bennigans and in March we were married. That was 27 years ago. We built on his farm/ranch just outside of Newcastle (50 mile south of Wichita Falls) in 1986 and have been here ever since. Three months after we were married we had two weddings, one for his oldest son and a week later, one for my oldest daughter. In January and February of 1985 our first two grandsons, Matthew and W.P., were born. In November 1987 Christal was born and then in 1988 we had five grandchildren born including one set of twins. Rusty (who was due in July came early) in May, Cody in July and twins, Blake & Justin in July and then Michelle in December. Then in August 1990 Chelsea was born and in May 1991 out last grandaughter, Lindsey, who is now at Texas Tech. When my youngest daughter, Penny, remarried 4 years ago she became a stepmom of 5 and a grandmother of 1 so that's makes 5 more grandchildren for us and a great-granddaughter, Courtney, age 5. My oldest daughter has two grandchildren, Jayson, age 5 and Brittany, age 3, so that's makes a total of 3 great-grandchildren for us. You should have been at our house for Thanksgiving and Christmas while our 10 grandchildren were growing up. What a sight!
Bill and I traveled a lot until his health got bad. We went to Las Vegas every year for the National Finals Rodeo and to Kansas every winter to pheasant hunt where our custom harvesters live. Our favorite place of all is Ruidoso, NM. We still go there every year at least once. We've slowed down the last 5 years due to his health.
During the seventies and eighties I was in 38 or 40 of our 50 states. I'm still hoping I can make the ones that I haven't seen.
Since graduating I have worked at several jobs. Right out of school I had Brenda Freeman Studio where I taught tap, jazz and baton twirling. When I became pregnant the first time I went to work for an oil company and then finally got on Civil Service at Sheppard AFB. When Bill & I got married I worked for an oil company in Graham for 4 years and then got a job at Newcatle ISD as Business Manager. I retired from that job in 2004, after having my first knee replacement but stayed on part time until November 2008. I had a second knee replacement in 2005 and back surgery in 2006. Since then everything has been pretty good. I'm loving retirement. I stay busy taking care of my husband and his sister who lives just down the road from us, and my garden and flower beds. I make regular trips to Wichita Falls to see my daughters and their families.
I joined the hospital auxilliary at Graham Hospital and work there 4 or 5 mornings a month. I also started taking painting lessons which I always wanted to do when I retired. I'm really loving that.
So that is where I am today. As I have the time and think of something new I'll update. Hope to see all of you in October.

School Story:

I loved band and all the band trips. What fun! I loved being a gym leader also. Our years at Old High were the best and so much fun. After 60 years I reconnected with my high school band helper Milton Chapoton. October 9, 2020 we were married.
